Knockconan N.S. 1902

Knockconan N.S. is a three teacher primary school in the parish of Errigal Truagh in North Monaghan. It is one of a cluster of six schools invloved in A.T.E.S.S.P. (Aughnacloy Truagh European Studies Schools Project) a cross border, cross community schools project which has been funded by the E.U. Special Support Programme for Peace and Reconciliation. The project aims to promote peace and build reconciliation by celebrating a shared "sense of place" in the Blackwater Valley.

Our three teachers are Bronagh Kerr who teaches junior infants, senior infants and first class, Emer Brennan who teaches second ,third and fourth classes and the Principal Mary Devlin who teaches fifth and sixth classes.

Hilda Mc Manus is our remedial teacher, Peter Loughran is the learning support teacher, Donna Fox teaches us French (we are involved in the Modern Languages Pilot Project) and Eamon Mc Clean is the Education Outreach Officer and Nuala Mc Kenna is the school secretary.
